A Book for Her

I once was asked, 
if I were offered
the last book in the world
or the last child, 
which would I save?

I said that I would choose the child.

And I would write a book for her.

    The question came up over atElevate the Ordinary in the article "Why Do You Write?" I actually wrote a whole essay on the why-write theme, but the girl-vs-book image is what stuck with me.
